The titanium used to build your exhaust system is produced exclusively for Akrapovic. It is three times stronger and is more heat resistant than any other titanium product on the market, making it ideally suited to turbocharged applications. Through careful engineering, this system is still 19lbs lighter than the BMW OEM systems and lighter still than many other aftermarket systems! (less when used with Akra's downpipe)

Evolution System: Utilizing a single muffler arrangement, the Evolution system is designed to be modular and replace the entirety of the BMW system on your 1M from the downpipe back. All exhaust gases flow through the main body of the Akrapovic muffler, giving you a deeper rumble of an exhaust note compared to stock without any drone. Unbelievably smooth piping joins perfectly cut flanges that mate to your car just as the OEM system. As an benchmark, this system meets this system meets the European TÜV standards for noise. However, the muffler system is built in such a way that by replacing the standard blocking plate with the Akrapovic Wireless-Kit valve system, the driver is able to noticeably increase the volume of the exhaust at the press of a button. Once activated, the majority of the exhaust gases will route through the muffler bypass outlets improving power and sound.
To cap off your system, Akropovic offers either Carbon Fiber or Titanium Exhaust Tips. Both versions feature a spherical mounting system to allow for perfect alignment of all four tips. The carbon fiber tips are constructed at our in-house production facility using “prepreg” cloth that is vacuum-bagged and autoclaved. The result is an attractive yet extremely durable part. The tips are adjustable and removable for easy cleaning and a even a personalized fit to match your tastes.
