Shorter shifts on the cheap, and done right!

A popular modification for many BMWs is a sports shifter or "short shift" kit. The idea is to shorten the throw between gears to make the gear change quicker for the driver and feel more sporty, immediate and crisp without making them cumbersome or needing too much effort.

The E46 M3 is a great sports coupe, but the factory shift throw is considered excessive by nearly all owners we have spoken too.
Here, we offer a great alternative to expensive shift kits that uses all OEM parts and will make your shifts smooth and tight with a slightly shorter change-distance between gears. You too will agree "This is better than new!" without the high cost and effort increases some shift kits experience. No 'made in China' parts here, even though this kit is low cost, its all BMW genuine components!

This special combination of BMW genuine parts works great together. Includes :

• Short Shift Selector (A favorite replacement of E46 M3 enthusiasts)
• Gear Shift Bearing
• Selector Circlip

Nothing else is required for this kit and the unit installs exactly like stock, omitting the yellow washers on the OEM shift rod! Depending on your mechanical ability, install is between 45 min and 1.5 hours.
