An Original California blue plate car until 2005! This is more than a survivor, its ready to be loved.

Inka orange on black / saddle interior 1975 BMW 2002. Very desirable color combo and fantastically period looking... Just gazing at this car makes you feel good!  She's just waiting to be driven around or taken to the next level!

This car was lovingly cherished since new by one original owner until 2005 (making it a desirable original 'blue license plate' California example, the meaning of "blue plate car"). 2002's are exceedingly hard to come by with no rust issues, and very very hard to come by living a life where you know that none is hiding. More than solid, all panels of this car are clean and no corrosion issues are eating at any of the body panels.

Paint, while not original, looks nice and is presentable for a driver (original color is red). Some small chips, blemishes, and an impression in one of the rear fenders arch keeps this car from being a show car. There are also a few blemishes in the chrome, but nothing that detracts from it’s overall great look and nothing that can't be fixed.
A once over on the exterior would transform this excellent driver into a show-winning car. Rubber seals are supple but older. Doors, windows, hood and trunk all shut and latch with a lovely feel.
Flex Bumpers are currently still on the car so she can be parked in the city if need be, or removed for a classic 'race look'.

By '75, BMW had fitted all the upgrades the 2002 life cycle had seen, including better seat belts, interior, options etc

This is a rare Automatic transmission example, the automatic shifts well and is ready to go anywhere.
For those with the need for more speed: Automatic models are highly desirable as they are the only chassis to be made with a wider tunnel from the factory (needed to accommodate the large Automatic transmission when BMW introduced it)... This means that enthusiast wishing to convert a 2002 to the popular 5 speed manual transmission from the 320i model (rather than the Auto or standard 4 speed manual all 2002s originally had) the chassis is in no need of pounding or cutting to easily accommodate the larger 5 speed unit swap or S14 engine conversion! We can offer this service to manual transmission on request for a surprisingly reasonable charge.

Interior is very clean, seats are comfortable and dash is uncracked. Carpets look great and there is no corrosion under them. Beautiful classic 2002 steering wheel is still in fantastic shape. Rear seats have had a basic recover in vinyl, and could be redone if you wish to show the car as original. Windows and sunroof operate smoothly. The drivers seat has a tear that is under the seat covers and doesn't detract from the interior with the covers in place. Over all the interior gets loads of compliments.

The engine is in fantastic shape. Since I work here and we have our world class machine shop in house, we have personally dismantled the cylinder head and done a complete and total refinish.
This complete head rebuild includes everything on our Stage 1 cylinder head service, as well as a new original camshaft , all 8 new rocker arms and all new rocker arm shafts. Very few people go the extra mile when doing this level of refurbishing. This was done right by the pros.

This car can have any transformation or upgrade you wish beyond what is already a great start here at VAC!

  • Wheels are 14" E30 325is pieces with newer tires for crisp handling and yet comfortable ride
