Higher pressures can reduce the risk of overheating on a healthy cooling system, and a high pressure "radiator cap" (actually fitted to the expansion tank on BMWs) is an inexpensive part to help prevent potential cooling system boil over.
Tech Note: Stant caps have two rubber seals, they are designed for use with radiator recovery / overflow tanks like the E30 M3 and E24 / E28.
