Febuary/ 2011: Racing Dynamics has
recently sold out of the E36 shorty headers. They have not
officially discontinued them, but it will be several months if they
do eventually make another production run.
Due to this information, we request that you let us know if a high
quality VAC made Shorty header would be a product that you would

Racing Dynamics shorty headers are and excilent way to bolt on
more power for reasonable cost.
Manufactured from 304 stainless steel, with C.N.C. cut flanges.
Finish is a polished stainless steel (not mild like many others)
and fitment is a direct replacement for stock.
- Equal length pipes add a measured 8-10 WHP and similar Torque
for gains accross the whole RPM range.
- Compatible with all other N/A upgrades.

- Bolts directly to OE catalytic converter flange.
- Fits manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Oxygen sensor bungs are welded in place for a user friendly
installation. These units are compatible with your factory O.E
cats, replacement high flow catalytic converter, or replacement
straight pipe (like the Active Autowerke Track pipe.)
These headers add both Horsepower and Torque so you can expect
strong gains in low RPM power as well as a improvement in high
RPMs; they also make an excellent compliment to performance
cams.
Tech Note:
-Intended for use with disable air pump for fitment on 96-99
models. Direct replacement for pre- 95 models.
This item is for off road use only, although when fitted to factory
catalytic converter can typically pass on OBD1 vehicles. Not
intended to be road legal in CA.

97-98 E39 6cyl (528i)
Fitment Notes:
Header pipes may come into contact with one another causing some
noise during cool down, this is normal.
