Our Big Bore throttle body is designed to
increase performance on your hard tuned motor.
When looking to extract maximum horsepower from a highly
efficient engine, the entire intake track must be taken into
consideration. If you have a large bore intake, headers, and even
cams- then you know how powerful the M5X cam be with the proper
bolt-ons. This leaves only so many areas as the bottle neck.
Our 70mm CNC direct replacement throttle body is excellent for the
tracked, raced, or extreme street M50, M52, S50us or S52 powered
vehicle, looking to release all the horsepower said engine is
capable of producing. An unobstructed extra large bore allows peak
power, while allowing good throttle modulation.
On the M5x / S5x US series engine, the engine has only one throttle
to ingest large amounts of air. However, this isn't as much of a
bottle neck as people think: When you want maximum engine output,
this opening must be properly enlarged so the engine is not 'choked
off'. Our 70mm throttle body does just that!
The VAC Billet Big Bore Throttle Body is set to use OBDI or
OBDII.

Tech Note:
-We recommend this TB for engines making, or trying to make 250+
WHP.
-Depending on your other supporting modifications an ECU
tune/software upgrades may or may-not be required. This throttle
allows a good bit more air to flow over stock so we recommend
checking your AFRs on a dyno to be sure you are not running
lean.
