VAC Performance Rear Differentials are built to last with the
highest quality components, procedures, and technical
expertise.

for 50+ years!
Your E46 M3 can benefit greatly in
performance from our upgraded high performance differentials.
For the street, our two most popular upgraded ratios are
3.91 and 4.10.
Both are still very usable daily and by compounding the torque that
gets to the wheels, provides improved acceleration at all
times.
Engine RPMs with the 4.10 are 3200 RPM @ 80 MPH and top end speed
is still over 170 MPH.
Out of both ratios, the 4.10 is our preferred for performance on
N/A applications and 3.91 for superchargers.
For the track our diffs are unreal! Offering the longest
time before rebuilds avalible due to our attention to deatail and
excelent machine work we offer in house. Various LSD and ATB
options are available, and we can make a diff to fit any need.
The OEM LSD can be retained but for high performance use, we highly
recomend the Quaife or OS Giken differentials as they offer
excellent life, smooth response, and excellent durability even
under the most demanding use.
Quaife diffs use helical gears to bias torque between each wheel.
There are no clutch plates to wear out and operation is exceedingly
smooth with no noise making them perfect for a race car or street
car. OS Giken is very popular with the enthusiasts and racers that
see a lot of track time.
