Our M20 6 Cylinder Multi Layered Steel Head
Gasket is designed to withstand much higher combustion pressures
than the factory head gasket or other conventional/aftermarket head
gaskets
Made to the finest specifications and run all around the world
on the street and in various motorsports venues; they are made from
multiple steel alloy layers, of which the outer layers are coated
with a patented material to ensure proper sealing of fluids. This
design ensures a complete combustion chamber seal and elimination
of engine failure due to weak factory gaskets blowing out under
boost or high performance use.
These gaskets are available on a variety of thickness' from as
thin as .024" up to .140" and are ideal for all high performance
applications.
VAC tech tip: A common misconception is that a thick head
gasket is needed with the M20 engine for turbochargers. Since the
M20 is already a low compression engine with its factory pistons,
.080-.098" is typically the desirable thickness range when used
with OE pistons, and a bolt on turbocharger
- OE thickness is expressed as .070"
- Default Bore size accommodates up to 85mm
- This gasket is a great way to lower compression, or maintain
the compression you need without buying new pistons
