Our VAC Motorsports Performance Camshafts are
simply unrivaled in performance, reliability, and value.
The old saying goes " To finish first, you must first finish."
Unlike other M50 VANOS Family designs, our camshafts are expertly
engineered not only to make excellent power, but also not to
compromise valve train life or engine safety for said gains.
Designed with our race winning profiles: as wide a powerband as
possible to create the 'fastest' engine possible. This is in
contrast to simply high peak numbers that leave customers happy on
the dyno, but with empty results in real world use.
Available for both hydraulic and solid lifters and can be installed
with factory BMW tools.

9.80mm maximum lift.
Our most popular sets of cams for this engine! These cams offer
very strong power gains in the mid and top of the RPM band without
making the low RPM response poor.
Enjoy serious power without the reliability issues of other large
cams. Suitable for both very high performance street cars and
dominant for track use. Great when the Schrick cams are "simply not
enough".
Strong gains from 4,000-8,000 RPMs* (hydraulic valve trains should
be limited to 7400 or less)
Street Use: Super hot for street use, shock vetts, E46 M3,
E92 M3... If you have supporting breathing mods and want the
highest street performance over 4000K RPMs. Can even be daily
driven.
Track Use: Famously reliable over the Sunbelts; a favorite
of customers for years because they don't have valvetrain issues
and make tremendous power.
*Note: As with all high lift/log duration cams; they must be
used with with upgraded valve springs. Also, must use modified
VANOS if you are running stock pistons or pistons without oversized
reliefs*
For use with all M50 & M52 Single VANOS engines, also with
US-spec S50 & S52 single VANOS E36 M3 engines.
Our VAC 286 / 272° camshafts typically make at
least an extra 15+whp through the power band vs. the 276* Schricks
in street cars! 30-50 additional with supporting mods to high
compression over the 264!
