Our VAC Adjustable Cam Gears may not look fancy;
but they are hands down the best available!
Designed for
easy, accurate, repeatable, reliable adjustment
once installed we offer a layout which is very easy to index
after the sprockets are in your S14/S38; a feature vernier style
gears cannot offer on this application. By using simple to install
eccentrics, you can advance or retard timing increments with
exacting precision,
all through the timing cover. This
greatly simplifies cam timing (and most importantly dyno tuning) a
great deal.
Other designs of aluminum, while cheaper to make and pretty to
look at, cost the customer more in the long run...
These do not provide easy adjustment of timing when installed and
with their designs; if a nut backs out while adjusting it can fall
into the oil pan and necessitate removal of other engine
components, what a mess.
If your upgrading your cams these are what you need to get all the
power you pay for. Helps to tune for best power output, and place
power-band where you need it.
Our VAC S14/S38 Gear Set is supplied with:- Gears x 2 (Intake and exhaust)
- New dowels, eccentrics, and hardware required for proper
installation.
