VAC Aluminum Oil Filter Lids provide both form and function.

Our lids are precision made from billet aluminum for form, and feature a boss on the back side which can be threaded to allow for installation of oil pressure and oil temperature gauges, for function.

Machined with care at VAC in the USA for an exact fit, each of our lids is protected with a clean anodized finish. Raw aluminum covers can pit and corrode looking worn, and improperly anodized covers can impede sensor functionality. We specially tap so your your sensors ground for proper function of all types of sensors.

We have tweaked the design of our lids over the years to have enough material to allow installation of mechanical temperature probes, which are longer than others, such as those found on Autometer & some VDO gauges.

We offer (4) different variations of our lid for various applications:

• Undrilled; for custom fittings / or just to dress up the engine bay.
• Tapped for (2) 1/8th NPT sensors.
• Custom Tapped: fill in the box with your (2) thread types and we will drill and tap for you.
• Specifically For 6cyl swap into E30 chassis: The oil temp readout on your factory E30/ E30-M3 gauge cluster will now work just as originally intended, with another sensor port for a sensor of your choice.
