This improved version uses high performance high-flow Ceramic cats.
Why Ceramic?... They last longest and clean best while still
flowing plenty of power!
With the VSR Center Section, you get the best of everything! We
have built many high horsepower S14s using this exhaust.
From VSR:
''The only aftermarket center section with dual high-flow catalytic
converters on the market! Mandrel bent Stainless Steel tubing fully
welded and designed to fit with either a stock muffler or most any
aftermarket muffler. This system weighs less, flows better, meets
emission standards and has the crossovers that the S14 engine needs
for power and efficiency.
Dyno testing has shown a gain of 4-5 hp over the stock catalytic
converters, but more importantly a significant gain in torque at
lower rpms.
We designed it to tuck up high in the transmission tunnel for more
clearance and less aerodynamic drag and eliminated many of the
unnecessary bends and the power robbing crushed section under the
rear suspension. All for a price close to half the factory
replacement section!"

| Please note the following about emissions equipment:
Tail Pipe Emissions Testing: While this cat section is
very efficient at cleaning tail pipe emissions, due to varying laws
from state to state, vehicle configurations and tune *Passing
emissions testing can-not be guaranteed on every M3*
Testing in California: This system can pass "sniff test"
on most M3s but has no CARB Exemption number.
Properly running stock and even modified M3s have passed
with this center section in the past. However, please consult your
appropriate state office or Smog station if you have questions on
the legality aftermarket catalytic converters. Due to recent
legislation changes in California, we sell these systems to CA
stating "for OFF-ROAD use only".
