ACL High Performance Rod Bearings for BMW Engines

VAC Race Rod Bearing Sets are a tri-metal construction over an extreme duty shell for critical performance in built race engines. These bearings usually last longer than the BMW OEM bearing set as proven by our customers excellent results. • Starting with a hardened steel back that's cleaned of any flash for strength and improved heat transfer, each bearing built to these true race-specifications must meet the highest standards for an engine. A layer of three alloy-metals, including crucial wear metals no longer found in many OEM bearings are applied with special attention to thicknesses for improved and accurate bearing clearances during assembly. All steps are taken to make a bearing that also has a high amount of eccentricity to promote the formation of a hydrodynamic oil film at high loads.
