No gimmicks or special software programs are required as all
logic and electronics are self contained.
If you want more boost: press the button on the right of the gauge
face. If you want less boost: press the button on the left of the
gauge face. That simple, and IT WORKS great!
Includes everything you need; such as an on-board 29 PSIg
pressure sensor, and adds functionality that only an electronic
unit has like built in over-boost protection (with two timed
shutdown levels), a scramble boost setting, and a low-side output
for a dash warning light or signal to ECU.
Scramble Boost feature is a particularly perfect feature for the
BMW owner: Set your standard boost level for the daily drive and
the twisty roads to aid in traction, when you need it; have a
momentary higher max-boost setting for spanking the unsuspecting
Mustang, Supra, or 911 you next meet at the stop light, drag strip
or on the highway. A great feature!
AEM includes their own proprietary boost control solenoid, one
they are proud to say is the only one specifically manufactured
for automotive boost applications, which means it won’t corrode
and stick from exposure to rich fuel mixtures and other
environmentals car see. It is pressure tested to 100 psi and
includes -4 AN fittings to eliminate any chance of leaks.
VAC Tech Note
-Regardless of brand or type, a boost controller will only allow
you to raise boost above the installed wastegate spring pressure.
If you wish to lower boost level, you must run a lighter wastegate
actuator spring. If your having boost spike/creep cause by exhaust
related issues, no boost controller will fix this.
-Note that improper installation and/or adjustment of this product
can result in major engine/vehicle damage.
