Karbonius’ Carbon Fiber Race Airbox for BMW E46 M3 CSL models is made from 100% prepreg carbon fiber in Karbonius’ facilities in Spain under ISO 9001 Management Quality System Rules.

Karbonius put a lot of attention to match the weave in the different parts of the intake, which in turn creates a perfect seal with the neoprene foam gasket between the two parts of the airbox.

Horsepower gains up to 25HP could be achieved when airbox is combined with proper engine tuning. Of course, other benefits will be improved throttle and fantastic induction roar.

Based on the original E46 M3 CSL Airbox, Karbonius made several key modifications to the original BMW design, including:

1- Trumpets made in carbon fiber rather than plastic improve weight savings.

2- Increased trumpet diameter from 51.5mm to 50mm and rounded trumpets openings for improved airflow over OEM

3- Exclusive 6th Trumpet design increases airflow to the 6th trumpet for improved performance

4- Smoothed shapes and coated interior contribute to minimized turbulence inside the airbox.

All Karbonius airboxes are numbered to ensure origin and authenticity.

The BMW M3 E46 CSL is one of the most famous and mythical cars in the world, and part of the success is due the carbon airbox. This intake generates what is probably one of the best noises in any sports car. For that reason a lot of BMW E30 drivers want to get the same noise in their E30's S54 Swap.

As the E46 CSL Airbox does not fit correctly on the E30 chasis with S54 Engine, we did some modifications to our Airbox to get a perfect fitment.

The S54 E30 Airbox comes without the front inner canalization that typically sucks in cold air. Additionally, the box is modified on the rear next to the servo unit to prevent friction in that area.
