Proven Clutch and Flywheel Combos
Clutch Masters offers their brand new performance clutch and flywheel package for the 2007-2009 Mini Cooper S.
This is a complete change over kit featuring a one-piece aluminum flywheel, heavy duty pressure plate, and five different friction disc configurations to satisfy any performance level!
Also included is the bearings and alignment tool for a plug-and-play installation.
The FX series is designed to handle high torque outputs with minimal compromise to drivability. By re- engineering the leverage or fulcrum point on their pressure plates, Clutch Masters has increased clamping power while maintaining a stock pedal feel. - Pressure Plate Technology: ClutchMasters increase the clamping force on the pressure plate by changing the lever action which adds a minimal amount of pedal stiffness compared to other methods. Also, they replace the straps with beefier pieces and add an additional layer for good measure; this has proven to be the Achille's heel on most pressure plates (as we have found with other clutches) and is a must for cars that will receive any extended hard use
such as a modified Mini.
- NOTE: While FX200 & FX300 are probably the most popular choice for
customers, Kevlar material clutches MUST be broken in by driving gently
for the first 600 miles before any performance driving is done. This insures
a long life, clutches that are driven hard during this time will not be
replaced if they fail earlier than expected
