Description

We feel that these are the best pistons for your Spec E30 engine. Working closely with CP, these pistons meet our most stringent expectations and are the finest available anywhere.

With so few areas to take advantage over the competition, you want to run with the best: our VAC CP Pistons.

To match the dome of the OE M20 "i" head & OEM piston requirements (all at OEM Specs @ OEM thickness, head and block: 8.8:1 compression), and all other specified requirements; a specialized blank piston slug is sourced as well as a specialized ball machining process is undertaken to the dome of the piston.

As of the 2010 season to fit within the rules of Spec E30 competition:

"9.3.1.2.2. All pistons, including aftermarket replacements, shall be factory replacement spec and match factory dome, dish, valve relief depth, ring groove placement, weight and wrist pin height; compression shall meet factory replacement specifications. The maximum allowable overbore is limited to the largest available factory replacement piston, not to exceed .020 inch."
