Description

Typically, these sealed spherical bearings are found on only one side of the 3-seres lateral control arm. BMW calls them ball joints in translation, but they are actualy used in place of rubber bushings.

As a simple upgrade, these "control arm bearings" are used to replace the stock rubber lateral control arm bushings for both sides rather than just one.

Premium OE manufactured BMW spherical bearings are used for long life, precision, and quiet operation. inclusive of dust boots for use on any car (track or street). Legal in SCCA IT and BMW CR prepared and modified racing classes.

The spherical bearing is best for the client that wants max performance or for racing use, as it has no deflection or play but slightly more noise.
Rubber type bushings are for those looking who want total sound isolation as the OE rubber ends provide, or are in a class that does not allow the spherical bearing.
