M Series - Stage 1 high performance cams available for BMW's S58
engine. These are suitable for engines producing around 600-850hp with
bolt on intake, exhaust and turbo upgrades, and running a 60-68mm turbo.
- Camshafts still maintain full use of Valvetronic and Dual VANOS for good throttle response and wide power band.
- It is important to also upgrade your valve springs, and we recommend the KVS58-BT valve spring upgrade.

Stage 2
racing cams for professionally built BMW S58 engines that can deliver
800hp to 1400hp with 66-75mm turbo sizing and aftermarket intake
plenums.The cams enable full use of Valvetronic and Dual VANOS while
allowing you to lock Valvetronic when using an aftermarket throttle
body.
- Please check valve-to-piston clearances on full travel of VANOS and Valvetronic
- Upgrade valve springs with Kelford Cams' KVS58-BT
- Ensure the clearance of the new racing cam lobe with the intake
intermediate rockers and trim or deburr OEM pressed steel rockers if
necessary.

Kelford Cams recommends using Stage 3 drag racing cams for S58
engines that are professionally built and capable of making over 1400hp.
If you plan on using high boost and 76mm+ turbo sizing, then you should
be using either ethanol blend or methanol fuel.
- It's important to upgrade your valve springs, KVS58-BT is the recommended option.
- Additionally, please double-check clearance for the new racing cam lobe with your intake intermediate rockers.
- If you're using OEM pressed steel rockers, be sure to deburr them to avoid any issues with fouling on the larger cam lobe.
