NTR R1 equals Race Technology at an unbelievable price.
Most people are aware that suspension is essential for high
performance cars, and many have a vague idea of how most of it works but very
few understand the finer details and understand how to get the best out of their
car through correct setup. Unless you’re a racing driver with many hours
experience, suspension can seem like a bit of a dark art. The video game "Gran
Tourismo" may have introduced a whole new generation to toe angle, camber /
castor, and damping adjustments- but fiddling with these complex settings in the
real world is a little different.
Every time a manufacturer produces a new vehicle, whether it’s a
sports car or a superbike – the designer’s aspirations for its handling are
often restricted by the prohibitive pressures to continually drive down costs.
Then, throw in the fact that every vehicle has to be produced to fit the widest
possible range of uses, weights, tires and ‘safe’driving styles; it becomes
clear why OE suspension isn’t perhaps as perfect as it could be (not mentioning
that lawyers are often interested in diluting matters, too)!
After several years of working to improve the handling of many
race cars and bikes, designing and producing every conceivable suspension
component, and building a knowledge of winning solutions, Nitron Racing Systems was officially established in 1998 with the
primary objective of producing the very finest racing shocks.
Since then, Nitron’s worldwide success has spanned over a decade of prestigious race wins
and lap records on both two and four wheels using the revered NTR series of
shock absorbers. Today, with direct motorsport involvement and a committed
development program, every Nitron customer experiences cutting edge performance
and design, proven on the world’s most demanding circuit and the latest
evolution of technology in the NTR line.
Nitron Racing Systems is newer to the US BMW market, but continues its commitment to quality and support that have made them a dominating force in
Europe for all makes and models. Nitron already with operations in the USA has
become the #1 choice for Lotus owners in the USA and has set there sights on
becoming the most winning in the highly competitive BMW market. Don't just take
that on paper: Highlights for the BMW enthusiast include sweeping wins in the 'CSL Cup' where it's BMW vs. BMW
as well as on the Nurburgring,
where Nitrons are setting world lap-records with several different platforms,
including the worlds fastest N/A engine E9x M3!

NTR R1 Complete Coilover Package:
We like different cars. We modify our cars to be individual. We each have
our own driving style – so why then, do we settle for a ‘one shock suits
all’ product? Unlike the OE shocks or many after market dampers, every
single Nitron damper is hand built for the individual customer. This means
Nitron can build the kit to suit your individual application and style,
affording the ability to custom spring and valve the shocks at the factory.

Embraced by racers and race series around the world, R1 kits
provide the answer to uncompromising quality, reliability and performance
without the need for a remote canister.
We are all different, and our cars are similarly different down to the
smallest changes; you are going to need the ability to make precise
	adjustments to have the edge.
Nitron R1 damper kits are ‘two-way’ adjustable, allowing adjustment of both
the bump and rebound strokes through a single adjuster knob.  This can
become confusing as many manufacturers state ‘one-way’ adjustment as only
adjusting the bump stroke, or the rebound. The Nitron R1 series actually
adjusts both bump/rebound on the same adjuster – in this implementation, a
far superior solution than simply compression or rebound, the chassis is
supported and is capable of control over the most grueling circuit!

That leads up to the type of adjustment and the range of the Nitron damper:
Beware of just how much adjustment some after market damper kits offer –
many kits in this price range state anything up to 40 clicks of adjustment!
However they are usually not linear and often only have 5-10 clicks that
actually make difference to the damping curve. Nitron shocks arrive
(preset, may we add) with around 26 totally linear clicks. For most
customers this means a simple initial setup process to find their individual
‘sweet spot’ and a ‘less 2 clicks’ for a wet set setup.

| -----    NITRON NTR R1 for E8x Z4M Coupe &
			Roadster:
			----- Features:
Comprised of (4) 2-way adjustable Nitron dampers with Nitron's trusted
	German-made linear rate race springs.
A single adjuster knob affects both compression and rebound damping together for simple setup and road-friendly quick adjustment. No remote reservoir means
R1 can compete in many classes,
including BMW CCA events, and are as easy to install as any typical coilover set.
All of the R1 shocks feature adjustable spring platforms for ride
height adjustment, plus the dampers are also length adjustable to set the ride height whilst maintaining even spring preload... A huge advantage vs. other designs.
Ideally valved out of the box for
the rates of your choice: spring rates that the hardcore enthusiast wants,
rates for a dual-use street car,
or all the
way up to a 100% race-competitive track car. Further compatible with a wide range of spring rates
by the large adjustment range of the damper knobs.

 Performance and feedback:
Nitron's high pressure gas-monotube damper design in the R1 is of direct lineage to
the 3-way adjustable R3 shock, not an exercise in cost engineering.
Nitrons oversized Monotube offers high speed stability and long-life durability that enthusiasts and racers alike, love under their vehicle.
Heat dissipation and resistance to fade insures that your damping
remains controlled over irregular surfaces from your favorite back
road or a less than glass smooth race surface.
A double-acting, single dial offers effortless control over a wide
range of damping adjustment; helping to rapidly react and adapt to
			changing circuit conditions.
 Spherical mounts are included front
and rear so all road inputs are transmitted directly into the damper, maximizing
wheel control and providing optimum feedback to the driver's finger tips while Nitron's excellent damping properties maintain surprisingly good road manners.

Designed, Engineered & Hand Built in the UKDesigned in house using the latest 3D CAD techniques, Nitron
race shocks are machined from billet and hand built entirely in the
UK. Using the very latest 3D CAD modeling software, Nitron is able
to rapidly design and calculate the optimum solution as a response
from testing at the circuit. Each race shock is fully serviceable on
demand, and made bespoke to order with customized spring and damping
configurations per the customers chassis and needs.
Nitron's design team benefits from many years experience in
machining, materials technology, hydraulics and F1 race car and bike
engineering; a combination that very few organizations can compete
against. Industrial design and aesthetics is an integral part of the
design process; ensuring that the finished look and feel of Nitron
shocks are among the best in the world; reflecting the
commitment to quality and performance the racer feels.
Thats not all... Nitron's engineers do not just design the shocks
based on manufacturing or computer generated calculations, but call
upon first hand experiences of the unique demands racing and race
machines place upon ideas. Many of the Nitron team either race
themselves or have worked with top drivers and riders to directly
assist in top podium finishes. This experience filters through and
is evident in each damper with technology such as their unique low
speed compression adjustment offering precise handling, tuning and
feedback like nothing else in this price range.
Nitron use the best combination of in-house prototyping and
specialist machining to manufacture and control the quality of
every component that goes into a Nitron shock. They work with
leading industry experts supplying to F1 teams, with 5-axis
machining, honing and welding. This same facilitys goal is of course
to produce the most accurate parts available- critical for longevity
and precise performance and is the very same that build each damper
for you! Every component is individually assessed and assembled by
hand at their Oxfordshire facility, in the heart of ‘Motorsport
Valley’ in England. Qualified technicians have active interests in
Motorsport and first hand experience with the importance that
quality and reliability play in creating the winning formula. Before
any shocks leave Nitron's facility, they are inspected, tested and
signed off, giving you the confidence when your out there; pushing
			the limits!
