These are available in a variety of sizes, here we have the a common replacement for the front BMW fan, the 14" 'Push' fan (Push: intended to be installed in front of a radiator).
This straight blade fan is 15" in diameter, less than 2.5" deep, draws 10.5 amps, and moves 1280 CFM of air. This unit can be installed beautifully in the original fan location of many BMW's.

This is a universal fan and fits many different vehicles. Professional installation is recommended.
