Put An End To Those High Track Day Oil Temperatures.
The big turbo N54, N55 and S55 motors came from the factory with an oil filter housing meant to limit
the flow of oil to the cooler. BMW did this intentionally so that when your
engine Is cold the closed thermostat allows the oil to heat up quicker. While
BMW may have had good intentions, this causes overheating issues in N54/55 motors. Even at operating temps this thermostat is extremely restrictive
and will not open all the way! This has caused headaches for many N54/55 owners.
Our kit offers you a quick
and simple solution to delete your oil cooler’s thermostat, and install only takes about
5-10 minutes! Once our kit has replaced your
factory thermostat your oil can efficiently flow to the cooler without any
restrictions. This will bring your oil temperatures down 20-30+ degrees (using a
factory cooling configuration) helping you keep your car cool and on the
track!
