Although our VAC Superior Side Mount Brackets were originally designed to achieve a perfect fit and safety level with our VAC Floor Mount Adapters, they are also nearly universal for most seat brands, working with virtually any race seat on the market, as well as any mounting to most sliders.

Whats so special about them?
These brackets are contoured to help you get the best fitment in the tight floor pans of BMW's (or any other application that require a tight, clean install). By having the side-to-side slotted-adjustability of these mounts, we can not only ensure a personalized fitment, but also the ability to fit your seat of choice to a location that allows installation without hitting the B-pillar or center console.

As for what really makes them Superior? They are shaped in an 90° "L pattern" vs the common "7" shape; making them narrower than most of the competition. This allows them to fit in vehicles with narrow floor pans or with wide transmission tunnels.

Even seats that would normally be impossible to fit without heavy modification are now as easy as any other... They allow for fast and easy installation of nearly all popular seats including Racetech, Momo, Sparco, Recaro, Bride, OMP, Status Cobra, and many, many others. (RT1000 seats specifically need to use Racetech mounts).

From years of experience with many brands, we have come to exclusively recommend our side mounts when installing seats with our floor mount adapters.

Tech's Tip:
We typically recommend that the taller portion of the side mounts go to the front of the seat, this allows the seat to be tilted as much as needed.

I love them, they look great too which means nothing but is a bonus. Quality is A1! My only issue is, im 5’10, and im using these on recaro pole positions, on the highest setting im still sitting too low, not the brackets fault, but if you are short and using a pole position, use different side brackets

Getting seats into the MX5 is tough. The most popular track car in the world has no easy seat solution...mainly due to lack of space. These VAC brackets and an MX5 specific bolster plate, allowed me to get two OMP HTE-R XL seats into an 08 MX5 without modifications or additional fabrication of any kind. That OMP is a big seat. Great product!

I used these on an 97 Miata mounting a sparco Evo II seat. These mounts are well made and narrow. Shipped fast.

Best side mounts

I used the VAC side mounts to install Bride EXAS III into my 03 Z4 and could not be happier. Plenty of adjustment, perfect fitment and rock solid mounting. All things I have become used to with products from VAC.

What more do you want out of a seat bracket? Lightweight aluminum, rigid, and perfect fitment. These fit perfectly with my Sparco Evo seats and also to VACs floor mount adapters.

What more can you ask for in a seat bracket? They are much lighter than steel brackets, rigid, and manufactured beautifully. They fit my VAC floor mount adapters for my MINI Cooper R56 perfectly and also no problems mounting to my Sparco Evo seats.

I have used these brackets on two of my Spec Miata race cars and they allow me to mount Sparco halo seats in a really small seat well.

Considering I live in England, the order was sent to me very quickly and took just over a week to arrive. The side mounts are as expected, made to a high standard and seem to offer more adjustment than the recaro equivalent.
They hav'nt been installed in the car yet but have been assembled to the seat and runners.
also, they look pretty good!
