Nitron NTR R3 Coilover Systems, BMW E85/E86/Z4 M

Nitron NTR R3 Coilover Systems, BMW E85/E86/Z4 M
Buy Now: $6,935.95

NTR R3: The Pinnacle of Nitrons most Dynamic Race Suspension Systems.

Most people are aware that suspension is essential for high performance cars, and many have a vague idea of how most of it works but very few understand the finer details and understand how to get the best out of their car through correct setup. Unless you’re a racing driver with many hours experience, suspension can seem like a bit of a dark art. Multiway systems more so; with seemingly endless configurations and permutations 2and 3 way systems seem out of reach for all but the most hardcore.
After several years of working to improve the handling of many race cars and bikes, designing and producing every conceivable suspension component, Nitron Racing Systems was officially established in 1998 with the primary objective of producing the very finest racing shocks and backing them with unrivaled performance for the racer. Since then, Nitron’s worldwide success has spanned over a decade of prestigious race wins and lap records on both two and four wheels using the revered NTR series of shock absorbers.

Today, with direct motorsport involvement and a committed development program, every Nitron customer experiences cutting edge performance and design, proven on the world’s most demanding circuit and the latest evolution of technology in the NTR line. Here, Nitron offers its most prestigious and capable system ever conceived: The R3.
Always focusing on delivering serious performance and not compromising on design and build quality, both internally and externally- Nitron is the solution the most serious BMW racer needs to best the competition!

NTR R3: Complete Coilover Package for your BMW:
We like different cars. We modify our cars to be individual. We each have our own driving style – and at the highest professional levels, cars are tuned with feedback from the driver and to have the edge over the competition by having adjustments that can "add" traction over less than perfect surfaces and on tracks that are challenging.

You are going to need the ability to make precise adjustments to have the edge. TheR3 damper as Nitron's top of the line damper make no concessions, its for the pro or aspiring pro racer that looks for independent adjustment of bump and rebound, and even go one step further by offering both high and low speed bump control.
Low speed bump relates to roll, dive, squat and translates into the ‘feel’ that the driver gets when putting the car though its paces on track. If a car is struggling to put its power down and gain traction, softening the low speed bump will make the suspension more compliant, allowing the car to then deploy power more effectively while still offering resistant to roll. High speed bump control is about track use with a varying surface; thus allowing you to tune the suspension so that the car travels over curbs and rumble strips with reduced disruption to the chassis, allowing you to "widen" the track and follow an ideal racing line. If you face races in the rain or over a loose surface, the R3 is your ally in making the car feel planted yet sharp on these often treacherous and challenging scenarios.
More user friendly adjustment ultimately means the most dynamic performance for a given situation, giving these three-way adjustable dampers the most tunable performance to the drivers exacting preference.

That leads up to the type of adjustment and the range of the Nitron damper: Beware of just how much adjustment some after market damper kits offer – many kits in this price range state anything up to 40 clicks of adjustment! However they are usually not linear and often only have 5-10 clicks that actually make difference to the damping curve. Nitron shocks arrive (preset, may we add) with around 26 totally linear clicks. For most customers this means a simple initial setup process to find their individual ‘sweet spot’ and a ‘less 2 clicks’ for a wet set setup.

Remote reservoirs offer two very distinct advantages for serious performance automobiles: Lower operating temps and consistency over a long period of time. Consistency wins races and Nitrons generous amounts of oil and gas allow fade-free performance over any surface. Think of this is the same way a big brake kit offers extended performance by its additional capabilities to turn the cars velocity into brake heat, a very similar situation to the oil in the damper.
Also, remote reservoirs allow the lower valve to be located externally of the dampers stroke, that would normally be at the bottom most portion of a shock. This is allowing for tremendous amounts of travel and accurate valuing- imagine the chassis attitude during braking over bumps, rumble strips, track off or elevation change scenarios: having additional bump (compression) travel is a very handy thing indeed!

While a race suspensions job is to help keep the car in its most ideal state, with as much contact patch maintained to the road surface, the "race" moniker often fools the customer: Race suspension must allow for irregularities to be absorbed and their effect on the chassis quelled as quickly as possible. Perhaps then, the most impressive thing about the R3 Nitron shocks is that they are so capable, that even with 'race valving' and race spring rates over 1100lbs, our E92 is daily driven though the broken roads of urban Philadelphia with an unimaginable level of comfort, and could be used without issue on a street car (rear shock mount reinforcement is recommended in some instances).
Over the challenging surfaces and high speeds of the Nordschleife, which even professionals fear, the R3s job is to keep total composure of the chassis at life threatening speeds. Not only is it suited to this daunting task, but the R3 coilover system is the VLN record holder on the 'Ring with an N/A E92 M3.

We are proud to say that Nitron is equipped on many record holding BMWs and other vehicles around the world and has an unrivaled success rate on the E36 and E46 chassis, with just one example being a7 time (in a row!) Overall 1st Place and overall championship win in the CSL Cup!

Measure worth by on track victory's? Qualified technicians have active interests in Motorsport and first hand experience with the importance that quality and reliability play in creating the winning formula. Before any shocks leave Nitron's facility, they are inspected, tested and signed off, giving you the confidence when your out there; pushing the limits!

Nitron R3 on the VAC world record holding Supercharged E92 M3:
Wow. The R3 on our car is an absolute revelation. The funny thing is how much the myth of "track suspension is harsh" has been proliferated all over the internet. Lets first say that we daily drive this M3 all over from Philadelphia, to New Jersey and New York. There are few and far between a nice road in the tri-state area and the R3 kit was literaly installed on our car with the race valving and springs used for touring car racing.
The Nitron R3 on our car were sent to us as a test set, with the confidence of Nitron being the typical reserve and polite British "Give these a go, there're quite good".
Legendary understatement: if you want the best of the best for an unrivaled price there is no other choice to look at other than the R3.
Accomplishments on R3 kit:
-Comfortably driven on 1200lbs race spring rates!
-Mid 10-second drag passes (current world record)
-1.30:00 lap times around NJMP Thunderbolt, first time out with no setup changes (that would be pole-position qualifying in a Grand Am car)
We feel that the R3 kit is superb for any BMW you wish to have as competitive as possible on the track, but also- if you attend about 1 driving even/ DE/ Auto X a month, you can really feel the performance and tuning benefit of R3 on a Weekend/dual use or hobby level car!

NTR-R3 kit features :

Simultaneous bump, high-speed bump, and rebound damping adjustment

Applications are realworld tested and tuned in the UK with many tested on the 'Ring.

Ride height adjustment, with all c-spanner wrenches included

Nitron camber and castor adjustable pillow-ball top mounts

Inclusive of Nitron's German-made linear rate race springs

Top plates isolated on needle roller bearing for precise steering, a feature unique to Nitron

Independent length adjustment for elimination of preload and ride height issues

High-camber lower strut tubes optional

Fully screw-together assembly: easily rebuildable / revalveable.
Nitron NTR R1 Coilover Systems, BMW E86/Z4 M

Nitron NTR R1 Coilover Systems, BMW E86/Z4 M
Buy Now: $4,380.95

NTR R1 equals Race Technology at an unbelievable price.

Most people are aware that suspension is essential for high performance cars, and many have a vague idea of how most of it works but very few understand the finer details and understand how to get the best out of their car through correct setup. Unless you’re a racing driver with many hours experience, suspension can seem like a bit of a dark art. The video game "Gran Tourismo" may have introduced a whole new generation to toe angle, camber / castor, and damping adjustments- but fiddling with these complex settings in the real world is a little different.

Every time a manufacturer produces a new vehicle, whether it’s a sports car or a superbike – the designer’s aspirations for its handling are often restricted by the prohibitive pressures to continually drive down costs. Then, throw in the fact that every vehicle has to be produced to fit the widest possible range of uses, weights, tires and ‘safe’driving styles; it becomes clear why OE suspension isn’t perhaps as perfect as it could be (not mentioning that lawyers are often interested in diluting matters, too)!

After several years of working to improve the handling of many race cars and bikes, designing and producing every conceivable suspension component, and building a knowledge of winning solutions, Nitron Racing Systems was officially established in 1998 with the primary objective of producing the very finest racing shocks.

Nitron Racing Systems is newer to the US BMW market, but continues its commitment to quality and support that have made them a dominating force in Europe for all makes and models. Nitron already with operations in the USA has become the #1 choice for Lotus owners in the USA and has set there sights on becoming the most winning in the highly competitive BMW market. Don't just take that on paper: Highlights for the BMW enthusiast include sweeping wins in the 'CSL Cup' where it's BMW vs. BMW as well as on the Nurburgring, where Nitrons are setting world lap-records with several different platforms, including the worlds fastest N/A engine E9x M3!

NTR R1 Complete Coilover Package:
We like different cars. We modify our cars to be individual. We each have our own driving style – so why then, do we settle for a ‘one shock suits all’ product? Unlike the OE shocks or many after market dampers, every single Nitron damper is hand built for the individual customer. This means Nitron can build the kit to suit your individual application and style, affording the ability to custom spring and valve the shocks at the factory.

Embraced by racers and race series around the world, R1 kits provide the answer to uncompromising quality, reliability and performance without the need for a remote canister.
We are all different, and our cars are similarly different down to the smallest changes; you are going to need the ability to make precise adjustments to have the edge.
Nitron R1 damper kits are ‘two-way’ adjustable, allowing adjustment of both the bump and rebound strokes through a single adjuster knob. This can become confusing as many manufacturers state ‘one-way’ adjustment as only adjusting the bump stroke, or the rebound. The Nitron R1 series actually adjusts both bump/rebound on the same adjuster – in this implementation, a far superior solution than simply compression or rebound, the chassis is supported and is capable of control over the most grueling circuit!

----- NITRON NTR R1 for E8x Z4M Coupe & Roadster: -----
Features:
Comprised of (4) 2-way adjustable Nitron dampers with Nitron's trusted German-made linear rate race springs.A single adjuster knob affects both compression and rebound damping together for simple setup and road-friendly quick adjustment. No remote reservoir means R1 can compete in many classes, including BMW CCA events, and are as easy to install as any typical coilover set.
All of the R1 shocks feature adjustable spring platforms for ride height adjustment, plus the dampers are also length adjustable to set the ride height whilst maintaining even spring preload... A huge advantage vs. other designs.
Ideally valved out of the box for the rates of your choice: spring rates that the hardcore enthusiast wants, rates for a dual-use street car, or all the way up to a 100% race-competitive track car. Further compatible with a wide range of spring rates by the large adjustment range of the damper knobs.

Performance and feedback:
Nitron's high pressure gas-monotube damper design in the R1 is of direct lineage to the 3-way adjustable R3 shock, not an exercise in cost engineering. Nitrons oversized Monotube offers high speed stability and long-life durability that enthusiasts and racers alike, love under their vehicle. Heat dissipation and resistance to fade insures that your damping remains controlled over irregular surfaces from your favorite back road or a less than glass smooth race surface.
A double-acting, single dial offers effortless control over a wide range of damping adjustment; helping to rapidly react and adapt to changing circuit conditions.
Spherical mounts are included front and rear so all road inputs are transmitted directly into the damper, maximizing wheel control and providing optimum feedback to the driver's finger tips while Nitron's excellent damping properties maintain surprisingly good road manners.
Designed, Engineered & Hand Built in the UK
Designed in house using the latest 3D CAD techniques, Nitron race shocks are machined from billet and hand built entirely in the UK. Using the very latest 3D CAD modeling software, Nitron is able to rapidly design and calculate the optimum solution as a response from testing at the circuit. Each race shock is fully serviceable on demand, and made bespoke to order with customized spring and damping configurations per the customers chassis and needs.
Nitron's design team benefits from many years experience in machining, materials technology, hydraulics and F1 race car and bike engineering; a combination that very few organizations can compete against. Industrial design and aesthetics is an integral part of the design process; ensuring that the finished look and feel of Nitron shocks are among the best in the world; reflecting the commitment to quality and performance the racer feels.
Thats not all... Nitron's engineers do not just design the shocks based on manufacturing or computer generated calculations, but call upon first hand experiences of the unique demands racing and race machines place upon ideas. Many of the Nitron team either race themselves or have worked with top drivers and riders to directly assist in top podium finishes. This experience filters through and is evident in each damper with technology such as their unique low speed compression adjustment offering precise handling, tuning and feedback like nothing else in this price range.
Nitron use the best combination of in-house prototyping and specialist machining to manufacture and control the quality of every component that goes into a Nitron shock. They work with leading industry experts supplying to F1 teams, with 5-axis machining, honing and welding. This same facilitys goal is of course to produce the most accurate parts available- critical for longevity and precise performance and is the very same that build each damper for you! Every component is individually assessed and assembled by hand at their Oxfordshire facility, in the heart of ‘Motorsport Valley’ in England. Qualified technicians have active interests in Motorsport and first hand experience with the importance that quality and reliability play in creating the winning formula. Before any shocks leave Nitron's facility, they are inspected, tested and signed off, giving you the confidence when your out there; pushing the limits!

Nitron's aim is supplying the best possible shocks made to the highest specifications. Nitron now sells shocks all over the world and continues to strive to supply the highest quality along with making product lines that offer high value next to the competition.
Always focusing on delivering serious performance and not compromising on design and build quality, both internally and externally- Nitron is the the solution the typical hard to impress BMW enthusiast has been looking for!

NTR-R1 kit features :

Simultaneous bump and rebound damping adjustment (1-way)

Front ride height adjustment, with all c-spanner wrenches included

Nitron camber and castor adjustable pillow-ball top mounts (R1+)

Inclusive of Nitron's German-made linear rate race springs

Top plates isolated on needle roller bearing for precise steering, a feature unique to Nitron

Independent length adjustment for front, elimination preload issues

Fully screw-together assembly: easily rebuildable / revalveable. No more specialty tool headaches

1 year manufacturer warranty

Nitron's precise Gas-Monotube design for ultimate control

Visit Nitron Suspension to see additional products in this category.

NTR R3 Complete Coilover Package:

NTR R3 Complete Coilover Package:

While a race suspensions job is to help keep the car in its most ideal state, with as much contact patch maintained, the "race" moniker often fools the customer. Race suspension must allow for irregularities to be absorbed and their effect on the chassis quelled as quickly as possible. Perhaps then, the most impressive thing about the R3 Nitron shocks is that they are so capable, that even with 'race valving' and race spring rates over 1100lbs, our E92 is daily driven though the broken roads of urban Philadelphia with an unimaginable level of comfort, and could be used without issue on a street car (rear shock mount reinforcement is required).
Over the challenging surfaces and high speeds of the Nordschleife, which even professionals fear, the R3s job is to keep total composure of the chassis at life threatening speeds.

We are proud to say that Nitron is equipped on many record holding BMWs and other vehicles around the world and has an unrivaled success rate on the E46 chassis, with just one example being a7 time (in a row!) Overall 1st Place and overall championship win in the CSL Cup!

--Nitron R3, Formula Car Application--

Measure worth by on track victory's?

Nitron NTR R3 Coilover Systems, BMW E46 M3
Buy Now: $6,560.95

NTR R3 Complete Coilover Package:

Measure worth by on track victory's? Here's just a few

<p style="margin-top: 0.5em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; Unless you’re a racing driver with many hours experience, suspension can seem like a bit of a dark art.

NTR R3 Complete Coilover Package:

While a race suspensions job is to help keep the car in its most ideal state, with as much contact patch maintained, the "race" moniker often fools the customer. Race suspension must allow for irregularities to be absorbed and their effect on the chassis quelled as quickly as possible. Perhaps then, the most impressive thing about the R3 Nitron shocks is that they are so capable, that even with 'race valving' and race spring rates over 1100lbs, our E92 is daily driven though the broken roads of urban Philadelphia with an unimaginable level of comfort, and could be used without issue on a street car (rear shock mount reinforcement is recommended). Over the challenging surfaces and high speeds of the Nordschleife, which even professionals fear, the R3s job is to keep total composure of the chassis at life threatening speeds.
We are proud to say that Nitrons are equipped on many record holding BMWs and other vehicles around the world.

Measure worth by on track victory's?

About Nitron
Nitron Racing Systems is new to the US market, but continues its commitment to quality and support that have made them a dominating force in Europe. Highlights for the BMW enthusiast include the 'CSL Cup' where it's BMW vs. BMW as well as on the Nurburgring, where Nitrons are setting world lap-records with several different platforms, including the fastest N/A engine E9x M3!

Nitron's aim is supplying the best possible shocks made to the highest specifications.
Nitron NTR R1 Coilover Systems, BMW E46 M3

Nitron NTR R1 Coilover Systems, BMW E46 M3
Buy Now: $4,380.95

NTR R1 equals Race Technology at an unbelievable price.

Most people are aware that suspension is essential for high performance cars, and many have a vague idea of how most of it works but very few understand the finer details and understand how to get the best out of their car through correct setup. Unless you’re a racing driver with many hours experience, suspension can seem like a bit of a dark art. The video game "Gran Tourismo" may have introduced a whole new generation to toe angle, camber and castor, and damping adjustments- but fiddling with these complex settings in the real world is a little different.

After several years of working to improve the handling of many race cars and bikes, designing and producing every conceivable suspension component, Nitron Racing Systems was officially established in 1998 with the primary objective of producing the very finest racing shocks.

The Nitron R1 series actually adjusts both bump/rebound on the same adjuster – in this implementation, a far superior solution than simply compression or rebound, the chassis is supported and is capable of control over the most grueling circut!

----- NITRON NTR R1 for E46 Chassis: -----

NTR-R1 kit features :

Simultaneous bump and rebound damping adjustment (1-way)

Front ride height adjustment, with all c-spanner wrenches included

Nitron camber and castor adjustable pillow-ball top mounts (R1+)

Inclusive of Nitron's German-made linear rate race springs

Top plates isolated on needle roller bearing for precise steering, a feature unique to Nitron

Independent length adjustment for front, elimination preload issues

Fully screw-together assembly: easily rebuildable / revalveable. No more specialty tool headaches

1 year manufacturer warranty

Gas-Monotube design for ultimate control

Visit Nitron Suspension to see additional products in this category.
