The QBE85G represents a collaborative effort between Quaife and Porsche specialist Parr UK, resulting in an enhanced and direct replacement for the factory 997 sequential gearbox. With the availability of an adapter kit, it can also be fitted to 996 models. Engineered to deliver optimal performance and ease of installation, extensive race testing has demonstrated the QBE85G's exceptional durability, surpassing its Porsche equivalent.

Featuring a six-speed sequential transaxle design, the QBE85G boasts a substantial 85mm shaft centre configuration and straight-cut gears, capable of efficiently transmitting power of up to 450bhp. To further enhance performance, a Porsche Motorsport plate-type limited-slip differential is included as a standard feature. The unit is lubricated through an internal oil pump, utilizing the stock Porsche 997 heat exchanger, which can be seamlessly attached to the Quaife QBE85G gearbox. Employing a hypoid crown wheel and pinion, Quaife ensures optimal strength and minimal gear noise in the QBE85G's final drive.

The bellhousing design is seamlessly integrated into the main gearbox casing, specifically tailored for 996/997/RSR fitment. For 997 models, the original Porsche clutch and flywheel are retained, ensuring compatibility. Moreover, the QBE85G is fully compatible with the OEM Porsche 997 motorsport electronics and Porsche wiring loom, eliminating any concerns regarding internal displays or the flatshift ignition cut-off switch. Additionally, the QBE85G can be retrofitted to Porsche 996 models (with heat exchanger), although additional parts are required for installation.
