The Quaife torque biasing differential enables your car to accelerate quicker and corner faster!
How Does the Quaife and 'Automatic Torque Biasing work, and what makes a Quaife so unique?:
By getting your engines power to the ground in an extremely smooth and efficient manner, the Quaife gear driven design is
totaly quiet, smooth and predictable, and it last the lifetime of your car.
Continuously meshing mechanism in this unique LSD has no abrupt engagement or disengagement, and the fact that it has no friction based actuation means it never wears out, over heats, or behaves differently when used with different gear oil.
Traditional LSD units are actuated and operate based on the friction levels between clutch packs inside their differential carrier, this means they can be affected by all of the above, and require regular oil change intervals with expensive gear oils for proper operation, and do eventually need to be overhauled.
The Quaife's unique design offers:
- Maximum traction
- Improves handling and exquisite steering
- Puts the power where it is needed most, the ground!!!
- A definite advantage whether on the track or on the street.
VAC Tech Note:
Quaifes are excellent Differentials for both street and track use, however, we do not recommend them for drifting as there smooth actuation makes them less than ideal for this sport.
