Our VAC BMW Race Seat Installation Kits are by far the easiest and best way to mount race seats into your BMW, so we made another part to make the rest of the job easier.
We created our Lap Belt Mounting Bracket Kit after the success of our Anti-Sub Mounting Bracket, giving you the same easy install for a snap-in, or eyelet-bolt type harness.
With this bracket kit, and our Anti-Sub Mounting Bracket, you can now install your racing harness of choice into your BMW without drilling ANY holes.
This kit allows for the fastest installation of race harness lap belts, bolting directly to our VAC Floor Mount Adapters.
These brackets simply install between our FMAs and your floor pan, so no extra installation time is needed and they totally eliminate drilling into the chassis as was previously the only option.

Installation Recommendations

To ensure the safest and most effective setup:

Mount as Far Rearward as Possible: We recommend positioning the bar toward the rear of the seat for optimal harness geometry. This may require using our Long Floor Mount Adapter (FMA-L) models.
Install Last: Mount your Anti-Sub Bar after mocking up your Floor Mount Adapters, Side Mount Brackets, and Sliders to confirm fitment and clearances.
Mock-Up & Tighten:
- Remove the seat from the vehicle.
- Orient the Anti-Sub Mounting Bar as shown in our product photos.
- Typically, the second or third hole from the back of the FMA offers the best starting point.
- Lubricate hardware, loosely thread bolts into the FMA, and ensure the bar doesn’t interfere with chassis, sliders, or seat rails.
- Tighten hardware with discretion.
Pre-Mount Belts (Optional): If convenient, attach your anti-sub belts to the bar before reinstalling your seat.

They appear simple, but take a closer look...

Although our VAC Superior Side Mount Brackets were originally designed to achieve a perfect fit and safety level with our VAC Floor Mount Adapters, they are also nearly universal for most seat brands, working with virtually any race seat on the market, as well as any mounting to most sliders.

Whats so special about them?
These brackets are contoured to help you get the best fitment in the tight floor pans of BMW's (or any other application that require a tight, clean install). By having the side-to-side slotted-adjustability of these mounts, we can not only ensure a personalized fitment, but also the ability to fit your seat of choice to a location that allows installation without hitting the B-pillar or center console.

As for what really makes them Superior? They are shaped in an 90° "L pattern" vs the common "7" shape; making them narrower than most of the competition. This allows them to fit in vehicles with narrow floor pans or with wide transmission tunnels.

Even seats that would normally be impossible to fit without heavy modification are now as easy as any other... They allow for fast and easy installation of nearly all popular seats including Racetech, Momo, Sparco, Recaro, Bride, OMP, Status Cobra, and many, many others. (RT1000 seats specifically need to use Racetech mounts).

From years of experience with many brands, we have come to exclusively recommend our side mounts when installing seats with our floor mount adapters.
