Our V.2 throttles are capable of flowing the maximum amount of air while keeping excellent velocity. VAC’s M5/Z8 individual throttle bodies are CNC bored and expertly finished, completely in-house, including larger diameter butterflies. This allows for improved airflow into the head for increased power output and sharper throttle response.

We have analyzed the competition's ported throttles as well as test them. Through our proprietary boring style and shape, as well as porting, we have observed much better results on our excellently modified set.

These can be recommended for all tuned street and built race engines.

This VAC 68mm Big Bore throttle body is designed to increase performance across the rev range. This is the best, smoothest flowing design on the market.

Starting with the OE BMW throttle body, VAC tested many diameters before we found the one that gained the best performance while maintaining all OEM functionality and drivability.

When looking to extract maximum horsepower from a highly efficient engine, the entire intake track must be taken into consideration, and a balance needs to be obtained between all components.

On the M50 / S50 series of engines, the engine has only one throttle to ingest large amounts of air. When you want maximum engine output, this opening must be properly enlarged so the engine is not 'choked off.'

We offer both Big Bore OBD1 & ODB2 Throttle Bodies to really unleash the maximum output of your engine. Our throttle bodies are OEM units that are professionally cleaned, bored to 68mm, and air-flow transition blended, then equipped with new butterflies for maximum flow while keeping factory fit and pedal feel.

Each throttle body is smooth in response and user friendly, so it's perfect on the street or track. Typically software upgrades are not required.*

These throttle bodies will offer bolt-on gains in the 5-10hp range, and similar torque gains can be had. With other performance upgrades like cams or forced induction, even further WHP can be gained with this modification.

Our Big Bore throttle body is designed to increase performance on your hard tuned motor.

When looking to extract maximum horsepower from a highly efficient engine, the entire intake track must be taken into consideration. If you have a large bore intake, headers, and even cams, then you know how powerful the M50 family of engines can be with the proper bolt-ons. This leaves only so many areas as the bottle neck.

Our 70mm CNC direct replacement throttle body is excellent for the tracked, raced, or extreme street M50, M52, S50us or S52 powered vehicle, looking to release all the horsepower said engine is capable of producing. An unobstructed extra large bore allows peak power, while allowing good throttle modulation.On the M5x / S5x US series engine, the engine has only one throttle to ingest large amounts of air. However, this isn't as much of a bottle neck as people think: When you want maximum engine output, this opening must be properly enlarged so the engine is not 'choked off'. Our 70mm throttle body does just that!

The VAC Billet Big Bore Throttle Body is set to use OBDI or OBDII.

We use this same throttle body on many of our customers racing/hot street engines!
