The VAC S54 Drive by Wire Elimination Kit, combined with a standard throttle cable, is designed to eliminate the S54's electronic Drive-by-Wire system in favor of the more sought after Throttle Cable.

Upon installation, this kit affords excellent linearity and feedback all while fitting within the limited space available between the cyl head and airbox.

Minor modifications will be necessary to the OE air box for it to clear the linkage, but the rewards are great. This is a very useful Kit for anyone looking to eliminate the S54 dependence on drive by wire from BMW E46 M3 ECU.

This kit is machined from billet aluminum, black anodized, and utilizes the best hardware for trouble free operation.

The VAC S54 Drive by Wire Elimination Kit has been thoroughly tested and proven on both our own VAC cars and many customer vehicles at the track, and on the street.

The Drive By Wire Elimination Kit is intended for use with a Standalone ECU in the following uses:

- Installing an aftermarket ECU in a stock E46 M3 chassis
- Installing the S54 engine in an alternative BMW Chassis, such as E36 or E30. This will require standalone ECU or reprogramming of the Factory ECU.
- Installing the S54 any other chassis including Non-BMW's as well! (Requires standalone or compatible ECU)
