VAC's Supercharger Camshaft set has nearly a decade of proven performance. Made for us to exacting specifications by our partners at Schrick GMBH; this set is designed and tested to provide excellent gains on BMW engines fitted with aftermarket supercharger kits. By popular request, we now have these camshaft sets ordered in volume to save you on cost to the end user.

Our S/C camshaft set started with a request to Schrick to improve performance on the continually popular supercharged engines. From their decades of experience with BMW engines, they were able to offer camshafts ground in an "inverted" configuration that maximizes air flow needs, unique to a supercharged engine application. This allowed for boost to stay where it needs to be, in the engine and limit power-wasting valve-overlap at low RPMs. Versus other camshafts sets that have been developed for N/A or turbocharged apps, these have been dyno tested and real-world proven to work great along with supercharger kits from all the various manufactures.

For 10 years, our offerings have been a popular choice for supercharger owners, we now also offer even more aggressive options for keeping your BMW on the cutting edge.

VAC Install Notes:

As when installing any new camshaft; new lifters should be installed to ensure no excessive wear or damage occurs to the camshaft.

VAC Turbo Camshafts are designed for those who are running turbo kits on their S54 engines. These Turbo Cams enable the turbocharger to spool faster and can even hold boost higher in the RPM range, allowing you to achieve greater torque and HP with a wider, more usable power band for a faster vehicle.

VAC's S54 Supercharger Cam Set is made to exacting specifications, perfectly designed, and providing you with drop-in gains for your supercharged BMW... So are you looking for more performance than your Supercharger kit already provides? You have found it!

Designed to offer the same benefits as our consistently popular S54 S/C cam set, we have met all criteria including: Exemplary reliability, smooth idle, and a wide power band. This makes our cams a great upgrade for both the street or the tracked BMW. Allowing more airflow into the combustion chamber, while not allowing excess boost out is the goal. We have selected ideal profiles that allow this to occur without ruining scavenging for a wider powerband.

Our S54 S/C cam set offers:

272°/280° durations for smooth idle characteristics and supercharger specific power gains
Compatibility with OE valve springs, retainers & followers

VAC’s Tech Notes :

Due to air flow improvements and increased power potential, an ECU retune is required. Please contact your Supercharger system supplier or ECU tuner for information.
High performance valve springs kits are not required but can be recommended for additional protection if your car sees regular track use.
We can offer custom retunes for most popular S/C systems to increase performance and drivability, please inquire.
As with all camshafts, new finger followers are required. Schick followers recommended for track / sustained high RPM use.

Our VAC M60 / M62 non-VANOS Turbo Camshafts fill the need for those performing custom turbo installs on their BMW V8.

This matched camshaft set is ultimate option for a turbocharged BMW S14, offering improved engine characteristics:

This race set is made for racers by racers. Reliability is key on the track; this set will flow incredibly well for maximum performance with less needed boost for less strain and lower intake temps. They are CNCed from alloy steel for the durability needed to last.

Designed to fit all displacement S14 engines and oriented toward high flow turbos at boost levels between 8-20 PSI and RPM from 4-8k. This set can be used on a street vehicle but will have a much less refined idle than stock.

The VAC M20 Turbo Camshaft is designed as a direct fit for all M20 "I" Cylinder Heads, or "eta" Heads that have been modified with our service.
