You have selected a Ring and Pinion... maybe adding an aftermarket LSD... now what?
A lot of customers (and even many professional mechanics) have never opened a differential. What exactly is inside?
We know that when we want to change gear ratios, your going to purchase a ring and pinions set. Adding an LSD, you purchase one of the high performance options available, but like an engine- there are seals, bushings and bearings inside the diff that will need to be replaced when rebuilding.... Sometimes the bearings in the E46 M3 differential know to fail, even at an early milage.
Our exclusive VAC kit includes all the seals, bushings and bearings you will need for complete rebuilding of the E46 M3 Differential, including wear items like cone & bearings that BMW will not sell.
These are the same kits we use when we rebuild differentials for our customers, so you know they have been tested for millions of real world street and track miles.
These kits include:
- Gasket Set
- Clamping Bush
- Front Pinion Bearing (Cup and Cone)
- Rear Pinion Bearing (Cup and Cone)
- Locking Plate
- Side Bearings (Cup and Cone)
Not only do we offer these kits; but also stock High Performance and Racing Limited Slip Differential on the shelf, and diffs with gear sets built just for your BMW and to meet your exact needs.
Feel free to inquire and have your Diff built by the pros! Our discounts and quality on completed diff units can't be beat.
Important parts & assembly information: -Side cover and pinion shims are not available from BMW and are not included in this kit- We have an in house stock of these shims, however we do not sell these separately from our differential service under any circumstances. A shop with regular business of building E46 M3 differentials is highly recommended as shims will be necessary if your are changing the LSD-carrier or Ring and Pinion Gears. |
VAC Technicians Note:
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IS ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY FOR DIFFERENTIAL GEAR SETS.
Let ONLY a qualified professional machinist with the correct tools and knowledge of the tools use install, or work on the internals of your differential.
