Our arms are proven and, unfortunately, crash tested at over 85MPH. All machined components held up perfectly.
Engineered on Solidworks and manufactured in the USA using the finest equipment and over 30 years of race car experience. Constructed of tubular 4130 alloy steel, these arms are stronger and lighter than any on the market, yet the unique design makes them extremely strong. The VAC arms are lighter than the stock parts and at the same time are optimized to correct the Roll Center that is altered when lowering your race car.
Available as replacements for E46 M3, E46, and E36 cars. If you are running a wide body E46 or E36 you can use the E46 M3 Kit to properly widen the track and avoid using the extra thick spacers that will increase your Scrub Radius and decrease your driver comfort. Just keep in mind that if you want to use the E46M3 kit on an E36 car to widen your track, you MUST also use extended tie rods, which we offered separately. The total track width is increased almost 3" when using the VAC E46 M3 Race Front Control Arm kit on your E36.
Our Tubular Control Arms feature the following:
- Specially Machined Tapered Studs manufuactured at VAC (in the USA) from 4140HT Alloy Steel and hardness equivalent or higher than Grade 8 hardware. Our special studs have been design optimized and FEA tested to give maximum strength. (compare to the weak design of through bolting with smaller diameter bolts and you will understand why VAC)
- 4130 Chromoly Alloy Steel Construction
- Properly TIG Welded Construction
- Powder Coated Grey Finish to allow visual inspection for cracks. (Pictured in Black)
- Ligher Than Stock Construction. Save over 2 pounds on E46 M3 and over 5 pounds on E36 applications (Per Pair). That is significant savings in unsprung weight.
Our VAC Kit includes the following:
- (1) Pair of tubular control arms complete with Premium Spherical Bearings for Both the Inner and Outer Joints.
- (2) each of the VAC Inner Studs and VAC Outer Studs
- (4) Tapered Spacers made from 4140 Alloy Steel
- All Nuts and Hardware.
Fits E46 M3 both with Standard Track and Wide Body. Can be used on E46 non-M Wide Body and E36 Wide Body.
