Installation Recommendations

To ensure the safest and most effective setup:

Mount as Far Rearward as Possible: We recommend positioning the bar toward the rear of the seat for optimal harness geometry. This may require using our Long Floor Mount Adapter (FMA-L) models.
Install Last: Mount your Anti-Sub Bar after mocking up your Floor Mount Adapters, Side Mount Brackets, and Sliders to confirm fitment and clearances.
Mock-Up & Tighten:
- Remove the seat from the vehicle.
- Orient the Anti-Sub Mounting Bar as shown in our product photos.
- Typically, the second or third hole from the back of the FMA offers the best starting point.
- Lubricate hardware, loosely thread bolts into the FMA, and ensure the bar doesn’t interfere with chassis, sliders, or seat rails.
- Tighten hardware with discretion.
Pre-Mount Belts (Optional): If convenient, attach your anti-sub belts to the bar before reinstalling your seat.

This stainless steel bar is engineered to give you the safest and easiest installation for your anti-sub belts, without drilling into the chassis of your vehicle. It is designed for both snap-in and bolt-in style belts.

Please review the parts included in this kit:

(1) VAC Anti-Sub Mounting Bar

(4) M8 x 20 Hex Head Cap Screw

(4) M8 Flat Small OD Washer

We recommend installation as far rearward as possible, which may require using one of the Long Floor Mount Adapter (FMA-L) models.

As mounting a race seat can get somewhat complicated, we recommend installing Anti-Sub Mounting Bars last, after you have mocked up your FMA’s, Side Mount Brackets, and Sliders.

Remove the seat from the vehicle. Orient the Anti-Sub Mounting Bar as shown in the picture. We usually find it works best to use the second or third to last hole from the back of the FMA as a good starting point. Lubricate the hardware, loosely thread into the FMA, and be sure that it does not interfere with anything (i.e., chassis, sliders, etc.). Tighten hardware with discretion.

If it is convenient, consider snapping / bolting the anti-sub belts to the Mounting Bar prior to re-installing the seat.
