Our VAC Front Control Arm Bushings offer the precision of a race bushing, but with durability and low cost anyone can afford.
The greatly improved stiffness, even over urethane bushings, helps eliminate deflection under load during hard cornering maintaining proper alignment for much improved handling, feedback and control when braking- even with the stickiest tires. Delrin is a smooth but very hard 'thermoplastic' but isn't considered "solid" as aluminum or steel; because of this and also because these reuse your OE lollipops; they are legal in many classes where 'solid' bushing materials and the Treehouse Eyeball Arms are not allowed (please always check the rules for your specific class).
Delrin is also a self-lubricating material so it doesn't wear or stick when properly installed, and these bushings have no moving parts to fail or jam and so are maintenance free. Due to the range of motion the control arms travel through, these bushings can be used on a street car, but will incur some additional noise.
Install Tip: Measure with a caliper the diameter of your control arm to determine the bushing size needed. The OE tolerance on the control arm is different from casting to casting as they are typically pressed into rubber bushings. If you experience any binding / sqeeking from your bushings during install, please use some emery paper to lightly sand the inner diameter and test fit until they turn smoothly, then install. This eliminates binding and keeps them quiet.
