Not designed to work with the factory harness. Needed a lot of mods to make it work. Also for a pedal set-up you can still get E46 2000 323.

My engine swap was made with a programmable ECU, so I lost the drive-by-wire capability. Had to use a direct cable from the throttle pedal, it was awful, unpredictable and extremely hard. Installed this kit in an afternoon with basic tools and amateur mechanic knowledge. After test driving for a couple of hours, I can confirm this is by far the best upgrade for my E36 after the engine swap, throttle is smooth and consistent, can't recommend this kit enough! A friend of mine with the same set up already ordered his!

The hrottle kit arrived today and looks the job will be fitting it next weekend and will see how it works out but looks like it will be the right way to go
