Q: Which Material retainer should I get?
A - part 1: Titanium Retainers: offer an extremely light weight choice for racers that are determined to maximize performance down to each gram of the valvetrain. Ideal for very high RPM race & sprint use or you plan to switch to solid lifters or are building an all out race engine that will be regularly inspected or torn-down to rebuild.
A - part 2: Steel Alloy retainers work perfect whether competitively racing or daily driving. They offer excellent weight reduction Vs. stock retainers, and are extremely strong. This is the choice for a street car, or HPDE cars that are expecting to go multiple seasons or years without opening the engine for tear down.

** Please note that because we engineered this set from a clean design; springs retainers and seats are all sold together as the superior dual spring arrangement must be used with the correct retainers and seats together and are not compatible with OEM seats/retainers, therefore springs are not available separately other than for replacements.
