VF has harnessed the consistent and efficient delivery of the
Vortech V-series superchargers to create the ultimate supercharger
system for the ultimate driver's car.... The E9x M3 maintains an
exceptional record for reliability despite being such a high
performance car and this was an essential quality to maintain with
the VF kits. In late 2008, VF purchased a new model M3 and chose to
create a complete aftercooled supercharger kit. This is no small
task; this kit has to work on a customers brand new $60K+
automobile with reliability and factory-like drivability. VF
understood that there would be competitors in the field of the E9x
M3 and knew that they would have to create the best kit on the
market to gain an edge in the marketplace. This is by far the most
reliable kit we have seen in use on the E9x M3.
Exhaustive Effort was Placed on Precise Development, Control and
Quality:After much success on the E46 M3, with VF
completely retooling the system to be one of the most capable on
the market- the E9x become the singular focus of VF engineering's
goal: To do this is no small task, everything would have to be
scrutinized and tested, and no less than three development cars
were undergoing abusive trails before anyone in the public knew
about the VF system.
A production aluminum intake manifold with integrated air-to-water
heat exchanger (charge cooler) was custom developed for
greatest performance, elegant simplicity, and clean looks under the

ECU tuning has been brought in-house and VF engineers spent months
software testing their E9x M3s for issues faced by other

Some facts about the VF supercharger system for the E9x
The VF supercharger system remains fully OBD2 compliant and is
supported by a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty (on the kit only).
Installation can be performed by most competent technicians in a
true 12-16 hours and is non-intrusive, allowing it to be fully
reversible. Drag racing and aggressive back to back peak rpm
shifting with the higher stage levels will likely require a clutch
upgrade on 6 speed cars. 100 octane fuel recommended when used on
the race track, but is not necessary. (As a matter of fact, we ran
10second 1/4 times at the drag strip and turned a ton of hot laps
at NJMP on 93 octane pump gas with zero issues).
Expect power in the 530whp range (dyno dependant) on 91
octane (AKI) pump gas along with a free flow exhaust, more power
with higher octane fuel is possible.
Expect power in the 550whp range (dyno dependant). Requires
the availability of 93 octane (AKI) pump gas along with a high
performance exhaust, (high flow or cat delete).
The VF620 & VF650 kit will allow you to run 10 second quarter
mile times and simply crush 99% of the cars on the road.
With a tire change it will hang with all out race cars on the road
course. NOTHING on the road can pull this off as effortlessly as a
VF supercharged E92 M3.

VF's Tech Notes:
Not all vehicles respond identically to engine modifications which
is why it is important to consider the "delta", or relative power
increase, measured on the same dyno before and after modification.
Power gains shown by VF have been found to be accurate on test
vehicles on 91 octane at sea level. VF does not guarantee that all
engines will make the same power numbers. The custom software
adapts just as the OEM software and a slight increase in
performance may be expected from the use of higher quality fuels
such as 93 octane. Power gains may vary according to factors such
as altitude or vehicle condition. VF installs its systems in house
as means of continuous product monitoring. All vehicles are dyno'd
pre-install and the stock E46 M3 typically delivers 265-275whp on
91 octane. VF-Engineering is not responsible for pre-existing or
consequential wear and tear of your vehicle. It is an assumed owner
responsibility to ensure your car is adequately upgraded to support
VF's testing of EGT and wide band O2 was performed from sensors
installed in the OEM header. Technicians logged individual cylinder
exhaust gas temperatures as well as Air/Fuel ratio in each exhaust
bank (pre-catalytic converter).
