Chances are, your BMW didn't come turbocharged, so we have taken
extra steps to insure we chose a MBC that is super accurate with a
special valve design that eliminates boost spikes caused by slow
valve designs. Look at it this way: an excess of 1 or 2PSI could be
the difference between a killer ride and a killed motor...
Our MBC allows you to adjust your PSI whenever the mood suits and
has a very smooth adjustment so you can make accurate increments as
small as half pound (.5 PSI) easily.
250 step adjustment wheel allows easy, accurate hand adjustment,
but will not loosen under high heat or harsh vibration when
pressure is set. Allowing from +0-60psi without having to switch
springs, there is no more swapping out soft and stiff springs for
higher or lower boost levels. Designed and made in USA from 6061
The fast acting valve lets your turbo spool quicker by fully
isolating the waste gate until pressure is reached, then reacting
nearly instantaneously due to low mass. All electronic solenoid
controlled types (Electronic Boost Controllers) must wait to get a
signal from the boost sensor, process, then react by actuating the
solenoid. This is slow, and it has been proven many times that this
MBC outperforms both other MBCs and Electronic Controllers.
Other unique features includes is it's compatibility with the lower
boost levels many turbo BMWs see Vs. nearly all other boost
controllers that do not allow boost control below 15PSI*.
VAC Turbo Tech Notes:
Regardless of brand or type, a boost controller will only allow you
to raise boost above the installed wastegate spring pressure.
+0-60psi is over the default wastgate.
If you wish to lower boost level, you must run a lighter wastegate
actuator spring. If your having boost spike/creep cause by exhaust
related issues, no boost controller will fix this.
